Whitney Wolfe, Founder Of Tinder And Bumble, Stands For Women First

After failing to buy out their competitor Bumble, Match Group, the parent company of Tinder, is attempting to sue them for patent infringement. The suit alleges that Bumble, a feminist dating app founded by one of the co-founders of Tinder, is infringing on two of Tinder’s patents – one of these patents being the swiping feature. It also claims that two early executives of Bumble’s, Chris Gulczynski and Sarah Mick, also previous employees at Tinder, stole confidential information regarding Tinder features that were in development and used this information to develop Bumble.

There is a significant history between Bumble and Tinder. Whitney Wolfe, the founder and CEO of Bumble, co-founded Tinder and was the VP of Marketing until she left in May 2014, suing Tinder over sexual harassment and stating in her lawsuit that she was stripped of her co-founder at Tinder because her age and gender as a co-founder made the company seem like a joke. In 2017, Match Group offered to buy Bumble for $450 million. The company appears to be closing a book now, however, with their open letter to Match Group that discusses the bullying tactics used by Match Group that Bumble refuses to fall victim to. Bumble emphasized their feminist values in the open letter, which said that “empowerment is in our DNA” of the app itself.

As the founder and CEO of Bumble, Whitney Wolfe prides herself on her feminism and shows it through the unique concept of Bumble, where women make the first move. This feature aims to empower women and to change the culture where men are expected to lead romantic relationships. Either partner is allowed to make the first move in same-sex matches. Bumble has also launched new features recently, such as Bumble BFF, a feature for finding platonic matches, and Bumble Bizz, a part of the app that enables women to make the first move in business-related endeavors as well as romantic ones.

Wolfe attended college at Southern Methodist University, where she earned a degree in International Studies. She soon learned that entrepreneurship was in her blood when she started a business in college selling bamboo tote bags, and she entered the world of startups at age 22. She soon gained a role as vice president of marketing of Tinder and is credited with the name and design of the app. She married her husband, Michael Herd, in October of 2017.

Skout And The Dating App World

The dating app world has not always been what it currently is. The apps that people see in their phone-specific stores have been curated and cultivated to the point that they are the perfect option for people who need to find a new date. They are ideal apps for people who are lonely, people who need friends and people who just want to connect with others. They have always been present on the app stores, but they have not always been successful as what they currently are because of other apps that have been more important to smartphone users.

In fact, just a year ago apps were not as popular as what they are now. People were more interested in tracking their daily calories and focusing on what they did throughout the day than they were in finding a new partner. They also liked to focus on other social media platforms where they could connect with people that they already knew. Dating apps have always been popular, but they are more popular now than they ever have been. The first quarter of 2016 is expected to be one of the biggest times for people who are looking for dates to get what they want out of their app.

Skout is one such app that is doing the trick for many people. The app works with people around the globe to ensure that they are getting what they need out of the experience. These people can come to the app, put in their information and find someone anywhere in the four corners of the world that they can have a connection with. People are not limited to their geographic area, but they can choose to limit themselves within five miles of the spot that they are in at the time.

The app also focuses on things other than location. Skout allows you to choose what you are interested in and make your pick of people who are interested in the same things as you. You can put your own information in about yourself. Things like height, interests and relationship status can be included.  Choosing a broader geographical area will give you a better chance at finding someone who will match perfectly to your needs no matter where you are at.

By giving you the opportunity to find exactly what you are looking for, Skout gives you the ability to find a great date that fits all of your needs. You will be able to connect with all of the people who are using the app and you can make the choice to make them your partner or not. You can even use the features that the app provides to block people who are pesky or who just don’t suit your needs.
