Dr Walden RecapWoman of the Year to Come from Lost Creek?

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is conducting its search for its Woman of the Year for 2016. From across the country, candidates are nominated by their local chapters in honor of a childhood survivor of blood cancer while also raising awareness and funds for its research. The LLS’ South Central Texas Chapter has named Dr. Jennifer Walden as its candidate for 2016.

Walden, who works as a plastic surgeon at Westlake Medical Center will compete against other candidates for the LLS’ title of Woman of the Year by raising funds in an effort to rid the world of blood cancers, and has to do so between March 23 and June 4. Each dollar collected is counted as a symbolic vote for the candidate in question. Those with the most votes will be titled Woman of the Year for the South Central Texas Chapter of the LLS. The votes will be counted and the winner chosen at the Grand Finale Gala at the AT&T Conference Center on June 4.

Jennifer Lee Walden has been known for her expertise in plastic surgery, but she is well known for her media presence as well as her academic contributions to medicine. She is the founder of the Walden Cosmetic Surgery Center where she provides plastic and ambulatory surgeries from her private practice in Austin, Texas, and has staff who provide similar support as a satellite campus in Marble Falls.

Walden is member of noted plastic surgery organizations like the Modern Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery Practice’s Editorial Board of Directors as well as the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Board of Directors.

Operating as the largest voluntary health agency combating blood cancer, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society lengthens its international footprint in its attempt to cure blood related cancers like leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma to help the suffers of these conditions enjoy a healthy life. In order to conduct its operations, the LLS takes in donations in order to perform research and provide support and information to the public about all that they do.

  1. Outside of her personal practice, arguably her biggest contribution to this field of medicine comes from the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery textbook she co-authored. I need essay help to able to write some essays about the lessons learnt from the book.
